How do I create a new filter template?

Navigate to Commerce pages > Filter templates and click New. You'll see the screen below.

After clicking new, you follow these steps:

  1. Fill in the template name

  2. Pick how many facets should be displayed - this is set to 25 by default

  3. Select if you want to expand the first filters and choose the amount

  4. Add a single filter or multiple filters

You can see that the filters you have added appear below each other. You can adjust the order of the filters using drag and drop by dragging them into position. The order you see here will also be the order on your webshop. Once you have added all the filters, click Save again; you have now created a filter template.

In the right-hand column, you will see a collection of buttons. You can use these to adjust the filter settings directly from the template overview. These represent the most frequently modified settings. Please note that the options available here are slightly more limited compared to the settings within the filters themselves. Any changes you make here are applied immediately, so you do not necessarily need to save.

You need to link the filter template to a category to make sure that it's used. You can do this by navigating to the submodule Categories. You'll find the category tree here. Click on the category you just created a filter template for, and select the new template. Click Save now. The new template will be visible on your webshop once the publishing task has run.
