With the multi-language module, you can easily manage all translations for your webshop within a single filter template. This means you no longer need to create a separate template for each language.
Please note: To use multi-language support for filter templates, the languages must first be configured in your environment. Read this support article to learn how: What do I set up within the Translation Module?
Adding translations to a filter template
For translatable fields (such as the filter name or texts like Show more / Show less), you will see the input field for your primary language alongside the option + Show translations (+ Toon vertalingen).
Navigate to Commerce pages > Filter templates. Open the desired template and select a filter.
Next to a translatable field, click + Show translations (for example, next to the filter name). Input fields for all other languages configured in your Tweakwise environment will expand.
Enter the desired text for each language.
Translate automatically with AI: Want to work faster? Click the ✨ Translate button. The AI feature will automatically fill in any missing translations for you.
Don't forget to translate the other translatable fields in addition to the filter name, such as the Show more / Show less text.
Linking to category tree
Since a single filter template now contains all languages, it is no longer necessary to duplicate filter templates for each language and assign them per shop.
You can now assign the filter template with translations once at the root category level. Tweakwise automatically recognizes the visitor's language and displays the correct translation on the storefront accordingly.
