The ' AI Synonyms' is the module that automatically generates synonyms based on search terms that yield no results. This ensures that website visitors always find relevant results. The module is part of the Synonyms module and is available to everyone.

Is this feature not yet activated for your instance(s)? Contact your Customer Success Manager to activate this feature. Below are the steps to start using the 'AI Synonyms'.

Step 1: Go to the Synonyms Module

  1. Enable the toggle for AI Synonyms.

Step 2: Create and start the task

  1. Go to Connectivity.

  2. Click on Tasks.

  3. You will see a new task called AI Synonyms Generator.

  4. Start this task.

Once you start the task, the AI will begin generating synonyms for search phrases that returned no results.

Step 3: Review the automatically generated synonyms

When the task is completed, you can find the generated synonyms in the synonyms module. AI-generated synonyms can be recognized by the AI Synonyms icon:

. Our recommendation is to always review these synonyms and remove any that are not relevant to your shop.

Note: AI synonyms are only generated after the task is executed. This means that you have control over when new AI synonyms are generated.

Optional: Accept or reject generated AI synonyms manually

You can keep control over which AI synonyms are used by manually accepting or rejecting them. To do this, adjust the setting in the Synonyms module. You can also set a minimum threshold here to not have AI synonyms generated for search phrases with less than the specified number of search hits.

After unchecking ‘Accept automatically', for each AI-generated synonym will be asked whether it should be accepted or rejected.
The working of this and the management of it is explained on Synonyms module – Tweakwise .
