With AI Smart Filters, you automatically optimize the way filters are displayed to visitors. Filters and filter values are shown, ordered, and positioned based on relevance and actual usage, ensuring shoppers always see the most useful options right away.
Configuring available options
When editing a specific filter within a Filter Template, you will find all smart functionalities grouped under the AI Smart Filters section. You can enable or disable the following options:
1. Sort filter on the filter template based on usage
Enable this toggle to automatically arrange filters in the overview menu. Filters that visitors click on or search for most frequently will automatically move higher up in the filter menu.
2. Sort filter values based on usage
When you enable this option, individual values within a filter (such as specific sizes or brands) are sorted by popularity rather than alphabetically or in default order.
3. Show filter only when the set minimum percentage of relevant products is reached
Use this dropdown menu to set a threshold (relevance percentage) in steps of 5%. The filter will only be displayed on the webshop if at least that percentage of the currently shown products has a value for that attribute. If this option is set to Disabled, default display rules apply.
Note: If a visitor has already selected a value within a filter, the filter will always remain visible on the screen, regardless of the configured minimum percentage.
4. Hide filter when only one filter value is available
Toggle this option on to automatically hide filters when only a single filterable option remains after a search query or category selection (for example, if all displayed products are size 'M'). This prevents unnecessary clutter in the filter menu.
Example: Minimum percentage of relevant products
Suppose you set the option Show filter only when the set minimum percentage of relevant products is reached to 30% for the Color filter:
Jeans category: 75% of the products have no color value registered (only 25% do). The color filter does not meet the 30% threshold and is automatically hidden.
Shoes category: 40% of the products have no color value registered (60% do). The color filter easily meets the 30% threshold and is displayed.
