You can set up the formula order option based on multiple product properties. These parameters will be used for sorting on the order in which you set them up. You can aggregate the values in various groups. These are your options:

  • 0/1 > for example, stock yes/no
  • -1/0/1 > If the value for stock is empty, choose this option to place those products all the way at the bottom.
  • Tens > Values are grouped in tens. When you choose this, it doesn't matter whether a product has 1 or 9 for a value. These values all fall into the same box.
  • Besides tens, you can group values in hundreds, thousands and ten thousands.

Example of a formula order sorting option:

First, Tweakwise will sort all products based on the first parameter, then it will use the second parameter et cetera. Those parameters will result in something like the sorting below:

The first line of the sorting option creates a 2-way split of all products: does the product have stock: yes or no. It doesn't take into consideration what the actual stock is, but only whether the product has stock or not.

Next, the products will be sorted on item quantity within these blocks. This has an aggregation of hundreds. The products that have a stock and have 400 - 500 item quantity, will appear on top. That means that a product with 1 stock and 400 pageviews will appear above a product with 80 stock and 200 item quantity. This is caused by the aggregation.

The products will then be sorted alphabetically within each aggregation.

You can make these steps smaller and smaller using different parameters. This sorting option creates very clear borders between products because of the aggregation.
