When you want to make changes to the settings or weighting of your search algorithms, you'll want to safely verify the results first.
In Tweakwise, you can configure search algorithms as a draft (concept) and test them in real-time within the Demoshop before pushing them live to your webshop.
In this article, we explain how concept mode works and how to use the Demoshop toolbox to experiment with your algorithms.
Draft Search Algorithm
Using the Enabled checkbox, you can set the status of a search algorithm:
Enabled: The search algorithm is active and applied to results on both your live webshop and in the Demoshop.
Not enabled: The algorithm functions as a draft. It is not visible on your live webshop, but you can fully test its behavior in the Demoshop.
Testing and tweaking via the Demo Shop
In the Demoshop, you will find the Search algorithms tab in the toolbox on the left side (the icon with the adjustment sliders). This tool allows you to experiment with your algorithm settings in real-time without affecting your live environment:
Enable or disable: Toggle algorithms on or off via the enable toggle to observe the effect on search results.
Stop / Continue: Determine per algorithm whether Tweakwise should stop searching after finding results (Stop) or proceed to the next algorithm (Continue).
Adjust weight: Use the slider to modify the weight assignment of an algorithm.
Any changes made in this toolbox are reflected instantly in real-time in the Demoshop. This makes it easy to discover which algorithm configuration yields the best results without any live consequences.
đĄ Note: Adjustments made in the Demoshop toolbox are intended purely for testing. When you are ready to permanently apply your desired settings live, don't forget to configure and save these changes within the search algorithm settings in the Tweakwise App itself.
