In Tweakwise, it is possible to be informed as soon as you reach a certain number of API requests in a day. This allows you to proactively monitor your API request usage. For example, you can take timely actions if there is a risk of overusage or if there is a bot or crawler involved.
Follow the steps below to set up an email notification:
Create a new task
Go to the Connectivity module
Click on ‘Create new task’
Give the task a clear name, for example, "Monitoring API Usage"
For the Task Type, choose Monitoring and then click Save.
Set up the notification
Navigate to the Setup tab.
Enter the desired email address or multiple email addresses where you want to receive the notifications.
Then set the daily threshold, which is the maximum number of API requests per day, against which the actual usage will be compared.
Set up the Triggers
Go to the Triggers tab to set the time at which the API usage check should occur.
We recommend setting a time between 06:00 and 07:00 as the previous day's usage will be available at that time.
