In Tweakwise, it is possible to be informed as soon as you reach a certain number of API requests in a day. This allows you to proactively monitor your API request usage. For example, you can take timely actions if there is a risk of overusage or if there is a bot or crawler involved.
Follow the steps below to set up an email notification:
-
Create a new task
- Go to the Connectivity module
- Click on ‘Create new task’
- Give the task a clear name, for example, "Monitoring API Usage"
- For the Task Type, choose Monitoring and then click Save.
-
Set up the notification
- Navigate to the Setup tab.
- Enter the desired email address or multiple email addresses where you want to receive the notifications.
- Then set the daily threshold, which is the maximum number of API requests per day, against which the actual usage will be compared.
-
Set up the Triggers
- Go to the Triggers tab to set the time at which the API usage check should occur.
- We recommend setting a time between 06:00 and 07:00 as the previous day's usage will be available at that time.
