1. Start creating your new Guided Selling by clicking the button New guided selling.
2. Select the Compare type.
3. First, name the Compare and add a code. This code will call the Compare. We're making a Compare for choosing a pizza in this example.
4. Select a category on the Preselect tab. The category section determines from which category the Compare may select its products. In this example, we'd want to show pizzas, so we select the Pizza category. Now Save the Compare.
5. If you want to add a preselection, for example, only products of your store brand, you can set this by adding a filter. You can select the Brand property and choose the Tweakwise store brand pizzas, or any property's value you want.
6. Next, we'll add questions to the Compare. Click the Add question button on the General tab. We need to know what kind of meat someone wants to recommend to them a selection of pizzas. So we'll write that in the Question field. The question must be linked to a specific property to allow it to filter 'underwater'. You can add an explanation and an image URL. Save the settings once you've filled all the fields.
7. Now add your answers. You can add answers in two different ways. You can choose to add all the values that a property has as an answer at once. If you want to do this, use the Property values as answers button.
8. Click the Add answer button if you want to select the available answers manually. That allows you to set up an answer, with the values that should be underneath the answer. In the example below, a customer will have selected the values Chicken, Hot Chicken, and Tandoori Chicken as a possible outcome when they choose Chicken as their answer. Save your settings once you've added all your answers.
9. You can edit some options when you click one of the answers. The General tab allows you to set the following options:
- Subtitle
- Additional explanation
- You can add an image by filling in the Image URL
- Property Matching:
- Based on values: enables you to select all values that are linked to the chosen property in the feed
- Based on range: You can select this if the values are numeric
- Do not match: This option selects all products. You could use this if you want to let your customer chooses 'No preference'
A certain answer might affect the order of your questions. For example, if you have the question 'Do you want your pizza pre-cut?', you'd want a different question for the Yes answer than for the No answer. If the answer is Yes, you'll want to know how many pieces for the next question. If the answer is no, that question is irrelevant.
10. (optional) You can set up follow-up questions in the Dynamic tab. Select the next question from the drop-down menu:
You Compare is ready to use once you've filled in everything.
All possible product matches are compared as a result of the questions. There's always a result, and the results are sorted based on the best result.
