Personal Recommendations is like a combination of Personal Merchandising and Recommendations. It is therefore a requirement when you start working with Personal Recommendations that you already have Personal Merchandising. You can use it both in the featured products and in up sell and cross sell rules.

In the Personal Merchandising module you create Personal Merchandising templates. Read how to do that in this support article. You can then use these templates in your recommendations. Here is an example of a personal merchandising template you can use in your recommendations:

Open the up and cross sell recommendation line you want to personalize and go to the selection tab. You will now find an additional option in this configuration under the sorting option called 'personal merchandising'. Here you then select the personal merchandising template you want to use.

 

Save it and, after publishing, view the result in the demo shop:
