A product has characteristics and properties. You can see them in the module Catalog > Products. Select a random product to view these characteristics and properties.

You'll see three tabs, like in the screenshot below:

On the General tab, you'll see the characteristics. These unique properties are required and available to all our clients.

The properties that appear on the Properties tab are different for each client and dependent on your type of business.
